Motors & Drives

A premium efficiency motor with variable speed drive is the most economical way to control your ventilation system.

Variable speed drive (VFD) fan speed control can drastically reduce you power consumption as well as minimize shrinkage. A fan operating @ 80% speed will deliver approx. 80% of the flow, but will save you 50% of the power.

VFD use gives you increased operational flexibility throughout the storage season as well as while loading or unloading a storage. It will allow you to provide the right amount of airflow to match the changing raw product demands and potato volumes, minimizing over or under ventilating.

Given the potential energy savings and reductions in shrinkage, VFD’s should be considered for any new construction or retrofit.
